Six-time Grammy-winning comedian Dave Chappelle will perform a one-night-only stand-up show in San Francisco ahead of the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend. The event is scheduled for Thursday, February 13, at the Masonic, giving fans a rare chance to see the iconic comic live before the city’s major festivities begin. Sale of Tickets for the performance begun on February 5 via Live Nation.

As with many of his previous shows at venues like the Punch Line, this performance will be cellphone-free, ensuring an intimate and distraction-free experience.

Chappelle recently earned his latest Grammy for Best Comedy Album with his 2023 Netflix special The Dreamer, which, despite sparking controversy with jokes about marginalized groups, showcased his signature bold humor. Known for pushing boundaries, Chappelle humorously defended his approach in the special, remarking, “I love punching down!”

In addition to his stand-up, Chappelle has shown a more reflective side, especially in his Saturday Night Live monologue after President Donald Trump’s inauguration. He urged the president to “do better” in his second term, reminding the nation of its global responsibilities and the need for empathy towards displaced individuals worldwide.

Chappelle also paid tribute to the late President Jimmy Carter, sharing poignant memories of Carter visiting the Gaza Strip with minimal security, a moment he described as symbolizing true greatness.

The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will take place on February 14.
